The 18 basic colors in our system

We took the primary colors of red-green-blue (RGB), and cyan-magenta-yellow (CMY). Between each one there are 2 combination colors favoring either side. For example, between cyan and green: 'cyangreen' favors cyan, 'greencyan' favors green.

An awful lot of work went into tweaking these copyrighted palettes so that there are visually equal steps between the colors.
